Bosnabahn (Zenica, Lašva, Visoko and Kakanj)

Zenica

Two roundabouts, a huge hole in the ground and relatively new buildings: that is what is left of the old train station area in Zenica (still looks better than the current train station though..). But that can hardly come as a surprise. Although Zenica did not get destroyed during the war, the city changed a lot previously due to heavy industrialization. No traces whatsoever. The only remnant I found is the old narrow gauge bridge located in the Kanal area, which is today used to carry a pipeline across the river. However, I had no luck identifying the long railroad bridge in one photograph and was even turned down by a lady working in Zenica City Museum (but maybe she was just in a deep shock that a visitor came).

And one more look

Lašva, Visoko, Kakanj, Žepče

Lašva station still stands, there are ruins of the old bridge where Spalatobahn left the valley, and the station is still in use for the regular gauge. However, Kakanj train station did not look original at all and Visoko train station looked like a small convenience store built in the 70s in the eastern block. Uneventful and boring trip, sadly. No luck finding anything in Begov Han either.
